I'd love to see what you come up with for Argon. The shading is phenomenal, and I like the design of the horns and underbelly, how the latter spikes out.

The colouring on this is lovely. I envy your ability to shade so delightfully and neatly, but alas I just don't have the touch! I'm not sure if I like the way you drew a border around the character. It doesn't seem to suit the drawing inside - the colours and the style of the colouring is soft and gentle, but the border makes it appear bold and more toony than it needs to be.
It looks like you had problems at the bottom of the page. It seems you lost control of the pencil somewhat. I have the same problem sometimes. If I were you I would crop that area off. Then again, i can understand wanting to keep your signature on. But I just wanted to point out that it does make the rest of the picture look a little scruffy, and this lovely picture does not deserve to be scruffy!
All in all this is very nicely done. It is not an exciting picture, it is not striking or different, but to be fair, I haven't seen the rest of your gallery. However, as far as technique goes, I think you did good
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.

When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
